DTC Code P0301 O2 sensor?
I was pulling into the car wash the other day and my check engine light popped on. I have a Hypertech programmer and thats the code it gave me. I have had something similar and the shop told me O2 sensor they replaced 2. Does 2nd generation have 3 O2 sensors if so Iv got the problem down. Could use all the help

97 - hmm. i think its the same as my 01.
federal emissions has 1 cat and 2 o2 sensors.
california has 2 cats and 4 o2 sensors.
i wouldn't think any would have 3.
301 is misfire on cyl 1. i doubt its o2 related. check plug, wire, injector on #1. possibly swap the injector to #3 and see if the problem moves.
search here and other places for the OBD codes.

you can feel/listen to it while truck is running. it'll be clicking and vibrating.
you can unplug it and test it with an ohm meter, since it contains a little electrical coil.
you can swap the #1 and #3 to see if the problem moves. caution, disturbing the o-rings might result in a gas leak. you can get new o-rings at the parts store. caution - a gas leak can be catastrophic.
