Transmission question
I have the V-10 set up with a 4 speed auto trans. I found this part in the bottom of my trans pan when I went to change the fluid today. Can anyone id it for me?
Only issue I am having with my trans is it will not go all the way into park. Would this part have anything to do with it?
thanks
Mike

I'd think so if it was in the pan it could go back where it was, i dont know
you have the 47re a little different then mine(46re) i would have to take it apart and get a more detailed idea where it goes. But i would think if it fell off into the pan it could go back, just my
The part you pictured is the front band strut. it goes against the band and the lever You have to drop the Valve Body to install it.
Here's an idea on how to do it: http://joelsgarage.blogspot.com/sear...-paginate=true
