Default Transmission question

I have the V-10 set up with a 4 speed auto trans. I found this part in the bottom of my trans pan when I went to change the fluid today. Can anyone id it for me?

Only issue I am having with my trans is it will not go all the way into park. Would this part have anything to do with it?

thanks

Mike

page 21-685 in transmission section of the ^service manual, shows a pic of it being a strut? check out the DIY or FAQ'S section up top to get it.

The part you pictured is the front band strut. it goes against the band and the lever You have to drop the Valve Body to install it.
Here's an idea on how to do it: http://joelsgarage.blogspot.com/sear...-paginate=true

So do you have a Ramzilla tranny or is that just what you call your truck?

Default ramzilla trans

That is what I call my truck, I also refer to it as big blue. Is the ramzilla trans any good? I have never heard of it.

Hey, thanks for your help on this stuff.
