H.I.D Questions
I bought some HIDs and have a few questiuons about it. One is i have read that therer is a difference between sport and normal head lights from factory. Well I have a sport ram and it has 4 bulbs (2 high 2 low) is that were the difference is. Does the normal have just 2 bulbs (1 high low mix)?
Also with my low beam stock connector it has a place for 3 inserts while the high beam plug just has 2. What is the 3rd insert for? Is there 2 hots and 1 ground.
Will i have to make a new wire going somewhere if this is the case Because the hid kit just has 2 wire coming off the ballest for the stock connector.
LOW BEAM SETUP
If you are wondering how it is set it it goes the stock harness plugs into a universal connector, lines from ballest plug into universal connector (only 2 lines come off ballest into uv connect, but there are 3 prongs required to plug into stock harness), then it goes into ballest and out as 2 lines that plug into the new bulb. These are 9007 bulbs BTW 6000k
Any one that has done this befor and can help explain what they did will help. If i need to run new lines or if it is all the plug and play

So I downloaded a repair manual (has wiring diagrams on top of everything else) off of one of the guys on the forum and from the looks of it the 3rd wire is just a relay to the high beams telling them when to turn off and on. So i guess the wire sends power to the high beam.
any ways i set up my hids on a 99 ram sport with fog lights. Now when i turn on the lights it is no problem the highs work like there supposed to and same with the low.
but if i have on just the fog lights/ parking lights and turn on the highs the highs wont turn off unless i turn off the lights or fog lights.
If i have on the fogs and the lows then i turn on the highs, then the fogs and lows turn off like they are supposed to and highs go on but then when i go to switch off the highs, the highs stay on and the fogs and lows come on as well so i have all six bulbs on at once and the way to turn the highs off now is turn off the fogs.
So fogs on highs wont turn off
fogs off lights work normal
Assumption. 3rd wire to control that from not happening.3rd wire necessary I dont think so
Am i complaining? no i have all the light in the world
