Sorry about all this Purpl, the same stuff happens to me, everything likes to break at once. Which is good in a way, get it all fixed and not worry about it for a while.

You might want to consider Laramies tires, he says that they have a really good treadwear from his friends that run them tell him.

Too bad Hankook doesnt make those tires anymore. I cannot find them on their site!

Gonna go tommorrow and order 4 265/75/16 Goodyear Wrangler SilentArmour tires. And another 4 235/70/15 Michelin LTX M/S2 for the S-10. $195 a piece for the Goodyears, but from the reviews, they are worth it.

Dick Cepek FCII's are awesome tires and they wear like steel. They work great in all elements. I will buy another set when I get my 98 dodge lifted. Spendy but worth it.

Yes, about two days after I bought them, Hankook took them off their site. I know for a fact that Sears still carries them as we just had the same tire thrown on a friend of mine's 1995 F-150.

Stay far far away from General tires. I have said it before until I have been blue and the face, but I'll say it again just for the hell of it: They wear fast. There is a reason why General tires love to show up on 2500/3500 trucks from the factory- They are cheap and as we all know, you get what you pay for.

Also, I don't recommend Michlen. They are great if all that truck ever sees is pavement, but they, like the generals, are made of a soft compound and will wear quickly if they are on anything except a highway cruiser.

Since we bought our 2004 F-350, it has ran nothing but Cooper Discoverer A/T tires. They have a similar tread pattern to that of my hankooks, but further placed apart. With the F-350 being a dually, we see about 50-60 thousand miles out of them before they start becoming slick. In fact, we are on our second set. When I was getting new tires on the ram, we set out to get the coopers for it, but they didn't have it in a 245. Only offered in a 265 and up. With me not wanting bigger tires, and with the fact that I already have 3.21:1 gearing, I didn't want a larger tire to bog me down.

Now, I can see why Nathan wants an A/T tire on that truck. The tread design and compounds used tend to wear much much better than any M/T tire I have ever seen. The only M/T tires that I see wearing correctly would be Micky Thompson's/Dick cepecks.

For your pursposes, I say look at Hankook, Cooper and Nitto. I know of people that have toyos and they claim that they will never ever do that again.

Also, the Dynapro ATM is supposedly the successor to the Dynamic Radials that I have.

I think the Michelins would be perfect for what you say. They are going on a work truck that sees lots of highway miles. The only thing off pavement this truck ever sees is gravel. The claims of 70-110000 miles on these tires makes me feel confident that these will be great. We also need something that is good in the snow.

Now, I can see why Nathan wants an A/T tire on that truck. The tread design and compounds used tend to wear much much better than any M/T tire I have ever seen. The only M/T tires that I see wearing correctly would be Micky Thompson's/Dick cepecks.
M/T tires are for trail trucks, not daily drivers. $200/tire for a tire that will wear like my Wrangler TDs is not worth it to me. Seems like a total waste of money on a truck that sees 85% of its time on the road. A light A/T is perfect for me.

Meh. I have had Michelns on my ram before. In fact, that was what my Granddad had put on the 1997, the 02 surburban, and our 1993 F-350. They ran great on the suburban and the F-350, but they didn't last when I got my hands on the truck. Didn't do a lot of tire smoking with them after I balded the first set, but they still wore too fast for my liking.
