Default Fixed Brakes(Picture of old pads)

Well after hearing a loud and obnoxious scraping sound last night today I decided it was time to do my brakes before they hit the point of no return.
I spent about four or so hours including the time going to and from autozone getting and returning parts.

When I first took the tires off it didn't look too bad but I knew the problem was not able to be seen so easily. I thought I took pics of the rotors that were in bad shape, but all I got is a pic of the pads you be the judge on if they needed replacing.

So I went to autozone and replaced my rotors under warrenty so that was free, and also replaced my brake pads under warrenty another freebie.

Put the bearings back into new rotors, while doing this noticed my dad replaced stock bearings with some timkens.

For some reason my dust caps would not fit so back to autozone to get some, they didnt have any in stock for my truck, found some universals for a gm at Advanced and thought they looked about the right size and got lucky and they fit perfectly. they were about 8 bucks.

here is a picture of new rotor, and shiny gm dust cap

So in total, I spent $8 and now there is no more scraping sounds(I could here it over my music and exhaust was pretty loud)
Brand new rotors, Ceramic pads, and dust caps. Gotta love autozones warranties and since their is two within 5 minutes of my house it makes it easy.

Some time this week I will look into upgrading wheel cylinders anybody know autozones part number for the ones to upgrade too.

I was enjoying the weather and was trying to keep the driveway clean so I didnt have wash it when I was done, had some friends stop by, didnt have to hurry had all day to do it, worked out good and hopefully soon I will get my SCT got the money just need to buy it. Depending on how much money I get for the work I did saturday I might get some headers too.

The worst part is even with those pads I could stop quicker than my dads chevy

I think all the mudding and offroading gummed up the slides and the grease I used on the slides was long gone. The calipers weren't correctly sliding causing the inner pads to wear out quicker and the squealers were just starting to make noise saturday night, the grinding started on thursday(I could barely feel it in the pedal).

Didn't have time to work on them till today, but saturday night it felt like I had massage chairs because you could feel the vibration from them in the chairs, the one rotor was f'd up bad, oh well like stated this whole thing only cost me $8 dollars so I was pretty happy.
