1500 to 3500 Conversion

I've been repoing for about 6 years and my ghetto rig has nothing to do w/ Operation repo! Every single one of you has done a ghetto rig! Obviously you morons I know it's not a 3500 what I want is feed back how to ghetto rig it! Money is very tight and I own a repo company in Miami & Orlando FL but we have to get another truck on the road and cant spend another $61K for a 08 + 3500 w/ a Dynamic 701! You all have done ghetto rigs and that's what these forums are for to share feed back! FYI Operation repo is all B.S. and anyone who actually reposesses knows everything they doin the show is a "Breach of Peace" and most of the time under state law would be considered "Assault & Battery" even snatching the keys from your hands! So if you don't have any feedback that involves call me/ us stupid please keep them to your selves! I will post the pic off a 1500 we saw in Orlando w/ the setup so you can all shut the hell up!
This forum is not about creating a road hazard of a truck to keep your business going.
FYI - you don't need an 08 rig. This not even a forum for 08 trucks. Most 3500 owners (who are in the diesel forum, not here) have ~15 yr old rigs that will outperform any ghetto rig you plan to create. And their rigs are worth $5k trade-in.
And the reason you don't see a previous thread on this is it is a bad, hazardous, dangerous idea. Despite the ingenious developments happening in Orlando in the illegal towing rig world.
In short - shut the hell up.

No they are not a direct bolt on, most of the heavier duty suspension components are not a bolt on swap between the two. If your truck is in really good shape like you say a dealer may be willing to trade your truck for an older 3500. Even if they need cash also it will still be cheaper to bet the 3500 then buy all the parts for the 1500. Also the 1500 won't be worth as much when you are done swapping everything where a 3500 with a sling will be worth more.

I can use my heavy trucks to actually tow the heavier vehicles and this setup can tow everything tow a mini van which is my intention. I just want to know if anything can bolt to my chasis from the 3500 or to keep if from squatting so much! Dude no need to be rude or an *** when you guyz reply!

FYI - it will squat a wheelie regardless of what springs are in it. Nose might even come up earlier with stiffer springs in it. Weight distribution is the key. You should know that.

This is a 96 Dodge Ram 1500 w/ a 3.9L that adapted an illusions sling system. This is too ghetto since it's a 3.9 but they adapted 3500 springs to the rear! The way this guy did it was way to unsafe for me and it does not look like i will handle when driving down the road! I pay almost 4K a month for 4 08 3500 & 4500's which are literally always working but I need to get one more on the road for at least 6 months to a year when I pay one of them off to buy another 3500! So yes it can be done!!!!!

I'll be honest I've looked but never really sat there and looked at thee differences between my 3500's and this other truck to see the major differences! stupid question but none the less a question. what are the differences between both chassis? See now were getting somewhere!
Do you think even w/ light vehicles, I.E...Corolla's, Camry's, Honda's will it hold at least on those?
You are all absolutely right it may be a stupid idea but what do you think is the most it can exert before I'm on dangerous loads! I have a 32' center console contender and I pulled this boat all the time w/ the truck we are talking about. This boat is a little heavy so I honestly figure a small compact car is about equal weight. I have no intention of loading anything larger than a mid sized compact on it.

The guy comes on here and says we all have ghetto trucks and ghetto setups. LMAO If business is so good I'm sure you can find a deal on a good used unit. You're such a towmaster you can figure it out. I can see your gonna make lots of friends here. Enjoy your short stay.
