If all else fails, jack the truck up and put one lug nut back on the stud. Then start truck and let the motor idle dropping the trans into D. Jab the breaks a couple of times and watch and see what happens.

i think the axle has to come out of the 2500 front to get the rotor off.
Someone told me you had to pull the axle, I am not really sure though, I'll check mine out this week.

itsa 1/2 ton and i took the metal clips off and throgh em away i thought why does it need em if the wheel holds the drums on

the clips were probably installed at time of mfg to hold the drums on during transportation and storage. then just left on.
