Default 1 ton springs??? (pictures)

Do these look like 1 ton or Deisel Springs to you? I was told that the rough ride and constant ball joint failure was because the PO may have installed heavier springs to lift the front. No modifications are done to the rear.

I don't know why the spring would eat up your ball joints. A bad bearing will though.

You can't tell by looking at that photo. You'd need to see it next to a 1/2 ton spring or measure it.

As for why the springs would cause ball joint failure-- that's what I was told by a few mechanics here in town. The hub assemblies and shocks were changed when I bought it last March and this is the 3rd set of ball joint that I have gone through. The ride compared to my fathers 1500 is real stiff. I'mm at a loss of what to do here. Ball joints haven't got any cheaper.
I also must add that I have always used MOOG heavy duty ball joints.
