Default Springs and shocks for a 98 Ram 1/2 Question

Hey guys, not new here as I read alot of great info and search for things I need but I can't find the question I am looking for.

Can I put 3/4 shocks and springs on a 1/2 dodge? It is a 98 Dodge Ram 1/2 quad cab and I know I need new shocks and springs. I want to beef it up a little more where I could hold more weight if needed. Plus I have a set of 20s from a newer Dodge I am putting on (I don't think that matters) but I like how the 2500 dodges in my year sit up more than mine. It looks more "beefier"..... It is a 4x4 if that matters.

Thanks for the responses in advance!!!

And thanks for all the info you have all taught me.

Front coil springs are a straight drop in from a 2500 into a 1500, rear leafs on the other hand are 3" wide on the 2500 and 2.5" wide on the 1500 so you will have some problems there, not sure if anyone has swaped rear leafs. As for shocks IIRC it won't matter much if they come from a 2500 or 1500. Hope this helps ya.

I'm sure you could swap in new leafs... but you'll have to change the whole rear suspension and not just the leafs
