picked up these wheels off craigslist for $200, they are american racing rims outlaw II's, 16x8, theyre a little dirty, i need to clean them up, anyone know the best way to get rid of the oxidation? just need to get some new rubber now.
You can use a fine polishing compound, just be ready to rub ALOT. Then use Mothers to protect the shine. You may also find that the "oxidation" is the clear coat peeling or pitting off(just like on my wheels )Nice set though, good luck with them.
Do not use steel wool on polished aluminum! Use mothers mag wheel polish and lots of elbow grease. If it has clear coat, then there isnt much you can do
thanks for the input, i cleaned them today with rubbing compound and wheel cleaner, they look pretty good, there are a few messed up spots, and a few spots that need some more rubbing, i was considering the powerball. ill put up pics once im finished cleaning them
