Default New to lifting have ?

Well im wanting to lift the front of my 01 ram. I want to go at least 3". Im thinking about getting a 3" coil spacers. My big ? is do i have to buy longer shocks. or is there a better way?

no you do not HAVE to... BUT...it is prob a smart idea to just change them

+1 i would defintely recommend it... also IMO i think it would be smarter to use 3" lift springs... i pieced together a lift for my truck.. 3" springs in the front, 2" AAL in the rear with new u-bolts. all new shocks and got it all shipped to my door for a little less than $500

but a "budget lift" from topguncustomz and it comes with coil spacers, u-bolts and hardware. and new front shocks, all for a little over $200. just my .02

I was going to use those since my shocks are brand new and cost 200$ for the set, but the threads on them are 3/8 x 24 and my shocks threads are 1/2 x 13. So I made my own with a 3" bolt, a coupling nut and some red loctite. For the rear I'm going to make some extensions and weld them onto the factory shock mount.

i been looking for 3" lift springs but i cant find them. i can only find them in a kit. and 1 more? can you flip the top shock bracket?

use coils from a 05 cummins 3500.....my old truck lifted 4 inches that way in the front....then block up the rear
