Could it be your cupholder, do you put change in your cigarette thing, or have some thing in your dash, my cupholder makes a rattle around the same rpm to about 2200.

I would check all around inside maybe empty out certain spots one day if the noise is still there go to the next spot if you do all the inside and its still there go to the engine department check the air hat to see if its tightened all the way.

Rev it up in the driveway with a friend listening or have them rev it up while you listen.

It also was burning a lot of oil and the hubs had trouble unlocking. But, it was pretty clear the clatter was going from the engine and not the dash.
Like they said, take the air cleaner off and look into the throttle body with a flash light and check for oil and goo. If that's not the plenum (and even if it is) check the vacuum lines coming off the manifold to make sure they aren't cracked.
Do they sell vacuum lines at Advance Auto Parts or Autozone? I need to replace a few of mine.

Well, yes and no. Dodge appears to be pretty stingy with information making direct replacement after-market parts harder to come by. I read something from Dodge about needing to replace the entire hose for it to work right but as long as you don't change the length or diameter much and you use thick walled tubing that doesn't collapse, I think you're ok.
On mine, the EGR line is mostly plastic tubing running from the intake all the way around to the EGR. I cut off the brittle part around the engine and replaced it with a length or vacuum hose that was big enough to slide on top of it. You can do the same thing for the real skinny lines.
On mine, there were two check valves that needed replacing. The first was right off the passenger side of the manifold in the line leading to the vacuum reservoir. The second was in one of the branches leading to the climate control system.
I drew a picture of how everything was connected and labeled both ends of everything i disconnected or that fell apart. I took the pieces into Oriely's and matched up the sizes.

Well, the vac line that connects to the throttle body is cracked, and I "fixed it" with a zip-tie. It's not the best way to fix it, I know, but I'm Polish, so it's okay.

lol
From memory, that's the EGR line. It should come off the TB and make a couple of 90 degree turns, run along the valve cover and circle back to the EGR located in the front passenger side of the engine bay. Mine had rubber vacuum line for about 3" then connected to hard plastic. You should be able to easily find what you need at any auto parts store for less than $4. Check to make sure the line is in good shape all the way back to the fire wall. The heat from the engine doesn't do it any favors.

Damn it.I have the same sound, like a rattling.I guess between this sound and the little black flakes in my intake I need to do the plenum too.I dont get bad gas mileage though.
