time for some new shocks

Default time for some new shocks

Okay so it is time to get new shocks and i was wondering if you guys reccomend any specific ones. I am planning on doing a 3" body lift so i don't know if that is a factor or not. Any input would be great. THANKS!!!

Yeah i was looking at the Bilstein F4B461907H1's but does a body lift make a difference? No right?

you can do two things if you are adding a 3in lift....you can buy shock extenders, or buy the shock thats for a 3in lift...The extenders are like 7 bucks for both.


As for shocks, i put Monroe sensatrac's in the front ($47 and change a peice) and on the rear i did the cheap Monroes ($21 and change a piece) and honestly i have an excellent ride, and even when off-roading its a pretty smooth ride...

Well its 2wd so I can't find anything that fits. But will i need the 3in lifted shocks to fit the 3 inch body lift or do you only need those shocks for suspension lifts?

Ah didn know it was a 2wd, yea i'd go with monroe then cause bilstine is gonna be pointless on a 2wd

Edit: you dont need any special shocks or springs if you're doing a body lift, it just lift's the body off the frame, suspenion stays as it is

Yeah thanks I'll look at those, i figured that the BL wouldn't matter but i wanted to make sure and you guys are the guys to ask.

i put the cheap monroes on my buddys 2wd ram, ($22 and change) and they worked out great

Bilstein's aren't pointless on a 2wd. They improve the handling dramatically and also help with towing.

Mav- Check the FAQ section, there you will see what shocks are the most prominent, and what everyone has to say about them.
