What mods would you do first to a stock 2001 dodge ram sport 4X4? I was thinking a 3in lift in front, black step bars, or some flowmasters duels. I want some in put on what yall would do.

I would do the fixed plenum mod.

Seriously.

Do that first and you won't have to worry about your engine dying from oil in your intake.

lol, ya I was gonna come in here and say the first mod should be fixin your blown plenum gasket, they all are bad..... your's will be no exception

That aside, I would go for the exhaust first. It'll be like a different truck to you, and people will know when you're comin haha... my 2 fave mods to mine are the rollbar, and the nice loud exhaust (which is just a gutted cat and cherry bomb )

Well if its not broken, take 100 bux and set it aside for when it does blow. There is no if with this, it will blow. Personally though, I'd go with exhaust cant go wrong wit a B A sound

First off, there is no mention of miles or overall condition of the truck. I will err on the side of caution and say the following. First and foremost, mechanical, none of that stuff you listed will help you if your truck breaks down. Since I never assume, how about simple basics? Tune up,oil and fuild change? Address the plenum leak, and while your at it, do a timing chain and water pump. Basically take care of the mechaincal basics, that way you have a reliable as possible piece to start you "mods" off on.

"my plenum is not blown, so dont fix whats not broke. motor is very clean." Umm yeah it is. As long as it says "Dodge" anywhere on the truck, its between a 1994-2001 model year, and has a Magnum V8 engine.

Shift Kit, one of the cheapest most noticeable performance improvements to your truck. Most of the power adders will slowly add power but no huge gains from any one thing (besides fixing the plenum).

sorry let me redo that. I have a 2001 Dodge Ram Sport 4X4, 5.9L V8, 115,000 miles. I have had it for 3 weeks so far. As of that i have checked all the fluids and they are all good. I have change the spark plugs with new Autolite with copper core and looked at the rotor cap and button and wires they are all good. It has good brakes and just put tires on it. As of that I'm not going to change the water pump out or chain till its dead and not working.
