So Here Is My Problem...
2 weeks ago, my truck had a nasty squeal coming from the belt drive. I replaced the belt and it completely stopped for about a week. A few days ago, I have been hearing a high pitch squeak again while driving. It only squeaks while driving and is worse when I let off the gas and just coast. I can start the truck up and let it idle in park with no abnormal noises what so ever. I re-adjusted the belt on the pulleys and sprayed a little bit of silicone for lube. The noise is still there. I initially thought it was a bad pulley but wouldn't it be squeaking all the time, not just while I am driving? My only other thoughts are it could be a bad wheel bearing or a bad u-joint. Thanks in advance.

Greased my idler pulley and belt tensioner pulley this morning, squeak is still there. When I had the tensioner pulley off, the bearing was hard to turn. I checked the belt when it was running and there seemed to be a little play in the tensioner- the pulley was moving up and down. Could I use a tensioner off of a 5.9 gas/cummins?
Are you sure its coming from around the engine? Sounds to me like a pinion bearing or something along those lines.

Yeah, when I pull on the throttle cable, I can hear it coming from the tensioner. A pinion bearing is in the diff, correct?
