Throttle Body & Plenum Leak Q&A
deathflash is a "software update" done by dodge. check on the PCM and see if there is a sticker. or somewhere on the radiator support, should have a date. i have read exactly what it is but i cant remember enought o give a good answer. I used to think it was there solution to the plenum problems but i was told otherwise.
Yeah I head it was like a shortcut the techs took to avoid an extra four hours of work. "They somehow retard the timeing of the engine some how. Not to fix the problem but to lessen the leak. It resulted in huge losses of power and horrible gas mileage. One way to get the deathflash fixed is to have the truck reflashed by a dealership to its original settings or by using a performance programmer to flash it."- Google
Thanks for the info, great site and an abundance of useful info, my truck is now using alot of oil and is seeming lazy but not spark knocking but has got a sucking sound under accelleration so time to do the plenum.
