wont work, newer one has airbag on pass side, OD button is on shift column, Fog light switch is integrated o the headlight switch instead of being next to OD button on dash.

if your talking about doing a COMPLETE overhall, steering column and all, it may work, but you will end up with a wiring nightmare

I'm also interested, I'm not so much worried about the wiring, as I understand electrical quite well, but I am mainly interested if the dash will fit with the stock mounting tabs.

they are intirely different, but easy enough to fab up your own, or swap them over from the "donor truck dash" , if your considering doing the swap, knowing if the stock mounting tabs will line up is def the least of your worries...... i wouldnt swap

I used to do this when I would "convert" older Mustangs to look like the newer Mustangs interior.. As Cowboy said, mounting locations are the very least of your worries LOL, but it can be done if you just have to do so. Electrical harnesses, steering columns and pretty much the entire electrical systems have to be swapped out in order for everything to work properly...

Not trying to be a smart a**, but my advise would be to buy a 99 if you like the interior. It's the easiest and cheapest way to get what you are looking for. I've been there done that and it's A LOT of work..
