Default front wheel bearings ?

im sorry i have been trying to search but i cant get it to work today. ok well what are the first signs thats your front bearing are going bad. or how to check them. Now this is on a 2001 dodge ram 1500 5.9L 4X4. TY

yeah thats definately a sign they are bad. also roaring and pulling could be a sign that they are going bad. Also Mileage is a big thing especially in a 4x4

very simple test - with the truck on the ground, grab the top of the tire with both hands and shake the sob in/out as hard as you can. there should be no movement. if there is, then it could be either wheel bearings or ball joints. so, you'll need to check a little further.

the second test is to jack the truck up and rotate the tire. it should be smooth and silent. a roaring or dry sounding noise is bad.
