Default I think I broke something

Ok here it is, I went to a bonfire earlier and was doing 30 down a road with potholes and bumps and water in spots up to about 20 inches deep, when i got to the road I noticed my tranny was taking a little longer than normal to shift, at about 45 while on the gas all of the sudden I got a rear end hop almost like I lost the gears, only happend when on the gas.

I pulled over at first side street got out with flashlight tires good, rear end looked good, driveshaft looked ok, checked front tires no bending out, nothing popped out as being broke so got back in

Drove another 300 yards and check engine light came on, pullled over in turn lane and checked engine compartment nothing seemed out of the ordinary, thought maybe I got water in motor checked airfilter and it was dry, no smoke from engine, Revved the truck up to about 3k in neutral ran without a prob.

Back on road still have hop at 45, drove about 5 minutes decided to turn off overdrive got to 55 without hop, then put overdive back on and went to 55 without hop

Im looking for somewhere to start at tomarrow morning going to do a checkover in the morning when I wake up, if I cant find a obvious sign its down to autozone to get codes ran

So any ideas on were to start remember this is a 2wd

Could the hop have been from wash boarding?

Just finished looking under the whole truck could not see anything out of line u-joints looked fine grabbed driveshaft no movement, oil was just oil, will check tranny fluid and rear end and take it to autozone later and get code checked. hopefully it was a freak thing and my check engine light is on because my ziptied o2 sensor was reading pure water.

does your truck have an LSD? i replaced the rear end on a 03 Dakota with the lsd and it was hopping when he turned and sometimes when going straight. opened the diff cover and found big chunks of metal on the magnet....dont want to scare you.....but the rear might be shot....i guess its not an uncommon problem for the lsd's to blow.

Yeah thats exactly what it felt like, I took it for a drive earlier and ran up to 80 and no problems drifted a couple turns and the lsd is working stopped by a friends house and he could smell my brakes when I got there, that tells you how hard I ran it with no noticible problem.

I do still have a CEL and will stop by autozone either tonight or tomarrow and see if it is my o2 sensor

one of my friends 2000 cummins's rear went out last year, his hopped when it took off slowly, but when he turned a sharp turn his inside wheel chirped and hopped really bad
when we took it apart we found all the clutches in the lsd completly welded together kinda like a spool, haha

Well went to autozone they scanned and had a code for tranny wire harness or something like that and a code for misfire cylinder 7.

the CEL went off on the way to school went to autozone after so I'm going to go with the harness got wet and was causing the overdrive or tc lockup to go in and out at 45.

Does anybody know which cylinder is number 7
