I am going to change the shakles and the plate on the rear so the 3'' wide leafs will fit.

your better off either just getting a full on lift kit....or just use the front coils and add a leaf in the rear

Are you saying that because the rear would be to stiff or it would be to much work to get the 1 ton leafs to fit

BigRed, that takes care of the shackle and spring pad on the axle but you still have the front mount of the spring and the shackle mount to the frame. Cowboy is saying that by the time you spend all the time and money to do that you can just stick in an AAL and be done.
