Default A Brake Thread

ok so today i changed out my front rotors, and now i no longer have a rubbery squaking when braking.

When i took it for a ride i noticed the rear brakes were squeeking. So i jacked up the rear and HOLY ****!!! sorry about my language.

My rear driver brake system exploded. My pads are completly destroyed, chunks were broken off, and the drum has such bad grooves it would amaze you.

So im not driving it until i get that stuff for it. I cant believe i didnt loose my brakeing or have anything lock up.

Ill be getting pictures of the disaster in the drum.

edit: nvm I see what yer talkin about lol

I HATE drum brakes, I can imagine prolly exactly what it looks like, I've seen a lot of destroyed brakes on my old vehicles alone, not counting the countless brake jobs I've done while working. wheel cylinders wrecked, shoes that have come apart, pieces of springs floatin around in there.... fun fun

HOLY WOW.....changed out the rear pads and hardware, and now it stops like a brand new truck. No more rippin to the side, no more squeeking, nothing. I ddint grab the 1 ton cylinders.......i wish i did but im not complaining, this is the best my brakes have been since the front has new pads and rotors, and rear has new pads and hardware.

I cant even get the pedel to where it use to go when i stopped. Right when i push down she stops. I cant even push the pedal down halfway lol.

Also when i was putting on the springs, i stood up to get leverage, i stepped on the camera. It was on so the lens was out and i stuffed it back in. Now its stuck and wont turn on. and the screen is scratched BAD. I have some pics i just have to get them off the memory card. May be a few days. I have a warentee on the camera so i have to wait until it gets fixed. But i DO have pics to come.
