Default Truck is getting parked for awhile.

Well im off today because of goodfriday and the daycare is closed so i got no childcare today.

So i was crawling around under the truck and noticed my assend of the truck is sagging, so i rolled to the back and boom, guess what ? my passengerside shackle is broken this time. For those who remember i replaced my driverside around a month ago because of the same issue.

SO now im making a freaking list of crap that im doing before i put the damn thing back on the road.

(1) fuel pump
(2) Passengerside shackle
(3) Driverside u joint
(4) Driverside wheelbearing/hub assembly
(5) Plenum gasket
(6) Taking off swaybar

i have never had more trouble with a ram than i have had with this piece of ****, i ****ing hate the north as i said before and i hope the previous owner dies a painful death of d!ck cancer.

I understand how you feel, but the south isn't any better. I grew up in Memphis TN and just recently moved to Minneapolis about 4 months ago. I can surely agree with you about the rust situation... dayum. I've never seen so many cars that look like swiss cheese before in my life. I could've swore I saw one dude driving his car like the flintstones feet and all. It was so bad that dude didn't need a door to get out of his car..

Anyway, there is a saying that we used to say all the time in the south about cars. The motors always outlast the bodies in the North and the bodies always outlast the motors in the South. You see, it gets so hot in the south that two or three intense summers will destroy your motor and transmission quickly. If we were able to have a car the lasted two summers in Memphis without catastrophic failure, we were happy people (that or if it didn't get stolen). I remember working for Ford when I was younger as a line tech and seeing all the transmissions that have just short of melted due to the heat. A/C systems... forget it. They were the first to go and it was so hot that if it blew 50 degrees from the vent, it would be roughly 65 degrees before it hit your face.... whew. Want to talk about cracked dashes and destroyed interiors? I remember cars coming in that the dashes rolled up and curled due to the intense heat and heaven forbid you leave a can of hair spray or anything under pressure inside when it was 110+ outside... BOOM! I've seen holes the size of your fist through the seat where these thing explode.

I know that rust is a PIA and I can see that, but at least you won't have a heat stroke trying to start your car (no joke.. it happens all the time in the south). Oh, and you can subtract about 30 horsepower when it gets that hot.. just for you performance buffs. That used to **** me off to no end with my Mustangs.

Anyway, I see that you live in Burnsville... I live in Eagan so if you need any help let me know!

i was born an raised in florida brotha lol i know all about the heat but i bet you a million bucks that you pick a truck in a junkyard down south thats been sittin there for 30 years and try and break a bolt loose and it will spin right over, here you dont need a set of wrenches you need a blow torch.

But yea man hit me up yakkier@yahoo.com or PM me and i'll give ya my phone number and maybe we can help each other out.
