How can I tell
Happy Easter!!!!
I purchased a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Laramie and I am wanting to know how can I tell if it has keyless entry. Of course I bought this and it came with one key (copy at that) and no FOBS.
If it does have keyless entry, I would like to be able to go to the dealer and purchase the correct key and FOBS. I know that they key doesn't have a chip in it or anything like that so would it matter which blank I got for it? I saw some really cool Dodge Ram key blanks with the Ram on it.
Thanks for your help guys.

there should be a sticker either under the hood or in the glove box that lists your trucks options. you can also do a search on here for how to get a build sheet from dodge by your vin number, or you can just visit your dealer and they can print it straight off the computer.
Wow, I had no idea that they still did that (build sheets). I remember getting lucky and finding the build sheet on our 1970 Dodge Challenger. I will get on that.. thanks guys!
hey bro check this out, fill it out and give it a few days and you will get an email with your factory build sheet.

Yakkier,
that is totally awesome! I will get on that and see how that works out.
The only thing that I could see was that it had the R1C3 trim code. The rest was specific to the drive train.. I dunno
