Talking Ran out of Projects need some help?

So i just put a Full exhaust system. Have yet to replace the crap gasket and bolts that came with it. Got new E3 plugs, MPG wires, cap and rotor have yet to install wires and cap and rotor "hope its easy". Looking for easy fixes so i know my motor is running good and in top shape money isnt really and issue for me. Not the greatest motor head but i know my basic and some what moderate stuff being 18 I helped my grandpa in the shop a lot. Truck has 5.9 liter with 147,500 miles recently replaced water pump timing chain, case, sprockets, O2 sensors. I also installed a E fan. Give me some of your knowledge on whats good to replace seeing iv got some good miles on my 97. thanks

Some things to think about(search will find information on most of the things listed):

  • Plenum gasket.
  • 14X3 air filter
  • Cleaning injectors with J ewlry cleaner
  • kegger mod
  • Airgap (aftermarket intake)
  • Trans check valve delete
  • trans fluid change.
Thats most of the basic stuff.

isnt the plenum gasket kinda hard im not really looking at taking apart half my motor lol I am awaiting mechanic school at matc in 2011 so it would be a good idea but im wanting to wait to take my whole motor apart and put new injectors in and possible some racing pistons and stuff like that in it.

plenum gasket isnt ahrd at all. you arent removing "half your engine" its more like just a few wires some hoses, its easy. if you are goin to mechanic school and are scared of an intake manifold... you might wanna reconsider
