Would you recommend all these "kits" for my plenum repair?

Gonna dive into the plenum fix on my 2000 Sport. Since I am going to have it apart I figure I should fix what I can, but is it really worth all of these "kits" or is Hughes just trying to sell some more hardware?

You do not need the 3rd kit. At NAPA new Belden wires, Echlin cap and rotor, and eight NGK V-power Spark Plugs would cost you $67.

You can get a FEL-Pro intake manifold gasket set at AutoZone for $22. Bolts at my dealer were $17. The plenum gasket at my Dealer was $16. New plenum plate bolts were $10.

I made my own plate with a Jigsaw and scrap aluminum for $26.

Ok, thanks Purpl. I will go that route then. I want to do it right but not spend more money than I have to. Is there a place where I can get just the plenum plate by itself, one you would recommend instead of making it myself? The idea of making one is cool but I don't want to go to that extreme.

Only APS and Hughes make that plate....And sell it, of course.

I might start making them in a few years, I need a CNC mill....

Don't get any gaskets from the dealership! They will rape you on cheap crap.

Use Felpro stuff from Advance Auto or O'Reillys.

Huh? The plenum gasket I got at the dealer was $2 more than the ****-Pro (FEL-Pro) I bought at AutoZone. The FEL-Pro is the same design that was put on at the factory. The Mopar one is a improved metal compression gasket. APS includes it in their kit along with new Mopar plenum plate bolts.

This one for $84.

"These plates are precision laser cut 6061 Billet Aluminum 1/4" plates. The kit comes complete with the improved Mopar plenum gasket, Grade-8 Flange Head bolts, 1 bottle of lock-tite, and complete instructions. These plates will *******ly eliminate the common problem of leaking due to heat properties of the factory steel plate and can stand up to 12-15# boost and/or Nitrous Oxide without any issue"

BILPLEN-V8 Billet Plenum Plate Kit - 1992-2002 Dodge Magnum V8 (5.2/5.9L)

I will get the wires and cap and plugs from NAPA and then get the intake gaskets and bolts from the dealership, is that cool? I am on the right track right?

Then all you need is the intake gaskets and bolts.
Gaskets:

And the Mopar TTY intake manifold bolts:
