Hey all Im new here and was told this is where I need to be to get some help on something on my 2000 dodge ram 1500 4x4.....my overhead console will sometimes read "Ccd" when it says this I cant do anything on any of the categories. It will stay like this for awhile then the next thing ya know ya look at it and its back to normal? Any one else ever have this happen and if so what causes it? Im wondering if the sensor under the hood is gettin bad or maybe has something on it? could that be possible???? When it reads right its always correct but when it shows that Ccd its just a hassle.....Any ideas would be appreciated. Oh and anyone got any ideas how to make it get better gas mileage????? We just changed spark plugs, spark plug wires and distributor cap and we dont get any higher on fuel mileage (good to get 12 out of it) its a 5.9 (if that helps) we just tried injector cleaner and that seemed to help go from 11 to 12 woohoo! lol Im going from a 2002 Impala that got 28 to this! Its a real change! Thanks for your time

 

never had that problem with the overhead console, if your gettinf 12 mpg....DONT COMPLAIN....your already doin better than most of us. some other things you can do to try to improve this is, Cold air intake, Headers, Free flowin cat and exhaust
