have you done your plenum yet? (yours WILL blow out, no questions asked)

if not you will get alot more power by doing this.

looks like your truck runs awesome though

The Plenum is a gasket and plate mounted to the bottom of the manifold. The bolts were made a bit to long from the factory and they are no able to torque to proper spec. Also the plate is steel, the manifold is aluminum, and metals expand differently at high temps.

This allows oil to leak into the manifold. It can soak the air filter with oil, clog the catalytic converter, foul plugs, foul 02 sensors, cause poor performance, and poor mpgs. You CANNOT just but a new gasket for it. You need to get the Plenum kit.

they have one for 86 bucks. comes with a 1/4 in aluminum plate, new bolts, new gasket, and 2 cool stickers lol. APS precision has one as well.

They are the only two that have the kit. if you dont get the kit from them, dont bother changing it. because it will blow out again. Ive heard of them blowing out at 20K.

Take your air cleaner off. look down into the throttle body into the manifold. If theres ANY signs of oil, the plenum is bad. There is no way around it. You will not be a lucky one. Your plenum will blow out.

Also the dealerships way of solving this problem was the "Deathflash" look on your PCM, if it says anything about software updates, you will need a tuner to eliminate the deathflash after the plenum has been repaired.

Its a pretty easy job too. Dont let people scare you and say its hard.

whats your gear ratio? should have enough power to throw the truck sideways or at least chirp the back tires on a takeoff like that. otherwise......not too shabby
