Default YAY!!! fixed Plenum

Update on the plenum fix vaccume leak. I tore it all down again, replaced gasket, put on the new trhottle body that i got for 100.00 from the guy in North Carlonina, New wires cap rotor and pickup coil, put my hughes plate on retorqued everything and put it all together again and yay no leaks. NOW a new problem, my tranny seems to be shifting weird, shifts really fast for first gear. I hear that I may have to reset the pcm by turning the lights on with the power off and turning the key 3 times. So I did that does this maybe make the tranny shift weird until the comp relearns???

hang on, don't go adjusting things yet.
did it shift ok before you worked on it?
check passenger side of throttle body, where the TV cable comes up from trans.
is it all installed properly? or is something amiss.

how did you disconnect the TV cable for your plenum repair. did you disengage the big clips that hold it in the bracket and then reinstall it ? or did you move it around in the adjusting mechanism.

no need to replace TB. first check the cable and make sure its routed correctly, and seated in the bracket. that's a good article on the adjustment. move it a little as it describes.
