360 magnum vs
Ok got my redemption today raced my friends new truck it is a 95 ford with a 5.8 not 5.4.
He got more traction on the start and jumped me a fender, once I stopped spining the tires I got back to about a bumper on him truck hit 5 grand let off so it will shift and he held with me to 60 once I hit 60 I slowly pulled away and he was at my bed at 80. So I win.
He just finished beating a RCSB chevy with the 350 which we all thought was gonna beat us both but its just another slow chevy.

This is my first truck, i bought it when i was 15. For the most part im always driving it like a mad man, so thats the way its always running. I notice if i drive like a granny all week, it will run sluggish and still get same gas milleage that weekend, untill im a leadfoot again. I guess the rams run the you are usualy driving.
Depends on configuration. Indy bone stock with 14x2.25" K&N open fipk ran 7.65sec 0-60mph with 125lb f/g tonneau cover & 3.55grs
With bolt ons & wt reduction, 5. 41 sec
With some minor top end changes & 7psi boost, 4.13 sec

Hemi Rams, every single one Ive raced, never met up with any fast ones though By the time I do, wont bother racing them anyways unless they are stroked, blown or spraying.

5.2/5.9 Rams, about the only one Ive lost too in over 10yrs is a good buddys Indy. We are usually door to door anytime we've raced.

383 Blazer II pro street truck, tubbed, very nice looking/sounding, barely beat him but I backed out of it by about 1200' as I hit the limiter & didnt want to use od again (smoked it)

Every win was REAL racing, on the 1/4m.
Beat the Lightning when I only had bolt ons!
Thats stock tb (not bored), stock heads, stock valve train, stock cam, stock intake, stock 360 bore & stroke & all other internals were stock.
I did have 3pc alum pulleys, bypassing ac/pwr steering, twin efans/no viscous, ramairbox w/twin 4" ducts, MP PCM, Edelbrock TES hdrs, ypipe, gutted Magnaflow h/f cat, 3" Magnaflow muff side exit ahead of axle. 3.92 grs on 28" skinnies/slicks for 418final drive ratio as well as stgIII transgo race kit & a rebuilt factory tc that stalled at 2500rpms. (but liked 2300rpm launches best) altogether about 14% wt reduction. (roughly 3850lbs + me)
13.99 best et with the mods listed above.
Tranny needed to be beefed up as well as the diff. Also went to a fresh cat to pass etest. Those items slowed the truck by almost 1/2sec on 1/4m.
Got it back to running 14.0s with
52tb, M1/2BBL, RT+10 cam, 1.7rr, FMS 24lb matched inj & me laptop tuning the MP PCM with an SMT6. Made 270rwhp @ 5300rpms before I tuned it with the SMT6, estimated it was making 285rwhp with tune though never returned to the dyno to confirm it.
Unfortunately when I went to add the Procharger, the SMT6 wouldnt cooperate. I ended up having to disable the SMT6, removed the MP PCM and ran a stock computer. That was not that great cause the motor changes needed the tune as well it meant I was shifting 500rpms below where I was prior which was 400 below where it made peak hp on the dyno(NA). RPM limiter & mph limiter cost about .4secs of ets.
The mild 360 w/7psi boost ran 12.91 et using overdrive which gave a horrible 2.88 final drive ratio. Cause of the rpm limiter, topped out 3rd gear by about 1150', letting off & coasting I ran a 13.04 et @ 95mph.
Vette & Pro Stock Blazer w/383 stroker I beat with the mild 360 listed, stock computer & 7psi.
In my 2nd post though I wasnt too clear about it, I mentioned what my new goals are which IS with 408/8.5psi
I expect to run faster than a 7sec 1/8 & faster than 11sec in the 1/4m
10.85/118.2mph according to software estimates
Thats under 3.0 sec 0-60mph
FYI, my software estimates in the past have been within 3rwhp of true dyno #s of mine & couple buddies as well as within less than .1 of ets many times.
Lot more variables this time so not sure how accurate the hi 10sec ets are. Head porting level, intake port level & boost level are the wild cards
