I have 285/75/16's on my 1500 with stock suspension, and my tires don't rub at all, even at full lock.

I had 245/75/16 on mine, now have 285/75/16 mickey's. I can tell a differance when I changed. It is a little slow off the line, but over all not too bad. I think I will change to 3.92 in the rear one day, when I win the lotto.

I have 285/75r16 with 3.55 on mine with no rub but I did notice some lower power loss or when pulling a trailer so upgrading to 4:10's with a locker or LSD in the rear.

Hey Nason it must be the US just trying to match the Canadian laws. Canada has been keeping those of us that made a mistake out for years. It has been 7 years and they still treat me like a criminal unless of course I want to pay a bunch of money and then I am better somehow. LOL Guess I will just wait a few more years to cross. It just s**cks living on the border. So I know where you are coming from, just to much politcs.

It sucks having 3:55s with 33 inch tires and all the extra accessory weight. I didn't count the deathflash.
Pulling anything other than our boat is frustrating because I can't use OD which kills the already crappy mileage I get, unless I run about 55 mph.
I never had a rubbing issue, even when it wasn't lifted. Luck?

What about 285/70/16r? Anyone run those with 3:55s?

Reason I ask is because I'm looking at upgrading from my 265s, but my truck is already gutless so I don't wanna lose too much more low end.

they would be almost the exact same size as your 265's, just a little wider

I noticed a little power difference, but not too bad. I have 285 Toyo A/Ts and they rub at close to a full right turn. And I have a 2" level up front ant AAL.

okay so i'm new on here because I wanted to ask a couple questions, I just recently starting doing some work to my truck, I put a used set of 33's on my ram it's a 01 1500 4x4, i put 315 75 16's and the front tires rubbed, so i bought a 2 1/2 inch lift for the front since i noticed my back is higher then my front, not sure if that's how it came stock? but i was told they will still rub, so i bought a brand new set of 305 75 16's, will those still look good and should i put the lift on the front now? I just can't lift it to high since I haul a horse trailer and don't have a drop hitch!
