The front half on my 97 case was cracked. I had a guy tear it apart and tig weld the crack. I then jb welded inside and outside the case and it still leaks around the detent bolt(which has also been siliconed). That's why I didn't just change the plug. I need the guts from my old case in the new case. How hard would it be to switch? Did 4wd light stop working because of the difference in the cases? I even changed the switch out with mine.

 

Well when I got home from work this morning I tried putting it in 4wd to see if the light came on and now it does so I think I'm gonna leave it in for awhile. But how come my speedometer isn't working?

 

is the brake and abs light on as well? if so replace the speed sensor

I've gone through 2 Transfer Cases on this thing and its a pain to find non destroyed used ones
