Cat is gutted; will try my other computer too see if it is the death flash, i doubt it though.

Computer is running normally coolant temp wise via my scantool. o2 sensor is switching lean/rich and you can smell has when you nail it parked.

Which is why i was leaning tward the o2 senor.

Did a nice little burnout last night going around a corner has a little more oomph from the accellerator it think my tranny could be doing it too.

Do know the "sqeaking noise" i've been hearing is a broken baffle in the muffler. Gonna grab a flowmaster for the unit and whip it on there.

No, just replaced the gasket (came with head gasket kit). Didn't know about the kits back then, will be a summer project though got no backup vehicles right now.

Can we please stop saying Dodge used the death flash to cover up the plenum issue. Its giving out bad and incorrect information.

Silver_Dodge explains every thing. See below.

Almost sounds like a plugged cat. I had a 1988 Olds 88 that did kind of the same thing you're saying. I went to the tire/exhaust shop in town and the mechanic got out his temp sensor gun and said my exhaust after cat was too cool compared to pre cat. Cut the damn thing off and it ran like a charm.

o2 could be done, cat could be clogged. chrysler has a new update for death flash, just had it done on my truck, runs great. check your engine vaccum as well, make sure its where it should be, around 15-17 in hg.

to be straight forward with you, our trucks are just heavy and slow. it took alot of work to get it to go, and thats with it to the floor. im jealous of your 10 mpg, i get 7 in the city.

also, make sure your plugs are champions. these trucks pitch a fit with anything else, even autolites.

if you can as well, check the reference voltage on the 02 sensor. it should be 2.5 at stoich levels, 3.5 at low oxygen and 1-1.5 at high oxygen.

plus a lot better throttle response. Much better than my current STOCK 5.9
those are no different than the stock injectors. they both flow 24 lbs/hr. all you did was replace tired injectors.
