those arent 3rd gen mirrors, I think the last two years of the 2nd gen dodges they had those as a option, those are 2nd gen mirrors the difference is the base

 

Common sense. Have you ever looked at the base of a 3rd gen mirror?

Those are mirrors for a 2nd gen Ram.

 

i want to see someone put the brand new ford Super Duty towing mirrors on a second gen....it would be frankenstien....but the spot mirrors on those mirrors are massive....i'm going to JY a set when i get my 7.3 PSD this summer...yes they will fit, i've seen others do it

 

the tow mirrors have to be for a 2nd gen. my mirrors came off of a 2001 3500. dodge made tow mirrors for the heavy duty's from 2000 to 2002 u can still buy tow mirrors from the dodge house for $250.00 a set and they will be brand new mopor fold outs. and the fold outs will fit any 2nd gen unless u had the huge tri pod mirrors tha bolted to the door the self

 

the 3rd gen tow mirrors will fit, but you have to swap the base from 2nd gen mickey mouse mirrors

I don't know off hand, but check the FSM. It should say there.
