Default 48RE in 2nd gen??

i know its probably doable under modification, but does anyone know what the deal might be with a 48RE in a 2nd gen? i know a guy selling an ATS stage 2 4wd auto 48RE trans and was just curious, it was for an 04. it has a billet flex plate, billet input shaft, extra deep pan, and a 5 star viskus cluth drive TC all from APS, came with a 500K/5year warrenty but it doesnt transfer to the new owner
