in the summer highway driving i might come close to 18 mpg.thats with stock tires on my '96 4x4 5.2 litre regular cab.i run all synthetic fluids,k+n filter and never drive it hard.i beleive my tank is about 120-130 litres to fill, and the longest range i can possibly get is 850 to 900 km.in the winter city and rural driving i bottom out real bad.about 550 km per tank.
I can believe it. Especially highway miles. But most of us here are looking at out city and highway mix of MPG. Average MPG.
I averaged 16 MPG in my 1996. Weird thing was that it was worse on the highway. Mainly because i drive pretty fast and don't like to lose speed up hills.
I get around 18-19 highway on the parkway cruising at 70mph between here and Tampa. This is with a 2wd 318 regular cab short bed. Calculated the same way as offroadjosh.

I get about 9 city 12 highway. Then again I always spin em every red light too. Needa stop that; trannies gonna blow (or my rear end, still havn't checked my fluid in there since i bought it)'
would having my front diff locked in also increase it? my vaccumm accuator is broken.
Best I have done was 15 on my trip from cali to TX 9" of lift, 35X12.50 BFG muds and a 360 mag I filled her up till she pissed then drove 100 and filled up again then calculated the amount on the refill to the 100 miles I drove, I think 15 is pretty damn good for my big *** truck ;-)
