Default Window Master

so yesterday I took off my driver door panel to put in new speakers, which i didn't do because the harness is wired weird to the infinity system. anyway, i noticed when i plugged everything up and got everything put back together, my driver window responds differently now. whenever i go to press the button all the way, the window doesn't roll down and if it does, it bugs out and stops and goes. however, i can lightly press it to manually control it. also, i can press it down all the way and let go for it roll down auto. it only happens whenever i hold it down ALL THE WAY to control it.

my buddy said the harness may have tripped out and the motor may need to be reset. he stated in his 350Z that there is a reset button that needs to be reset after unplugging harness. i know its like comparing apples to oranges, but i've never heard of something like this. any ideas on what can fix this window situation? and also, how do i remove the window master control from the panel? thanks in advance.

i don't know of any magical reset button.
try spraying the track with silicone lube. other than that - check the track and regulator that something might have gotten out of whack.

so all this work has to be done through the two small holes on the side of the door? man that sucks, i don't even see how you can remove the window to replace it or even replace the motor.

BTW, i live in dawson county. small world.

pretty close by. i'm down here off Winder Hwy (53) near Oakwood.

yes, motor and regulator service is through them little holes. you can look up videos on youtube and see that there's just enough room. i doubt that you have anything serious wrong. probably just something binding up. you probably looked at it wrong or something.

when you get ready to replace your speakers, just go ahead with a nice aftermarket head unit and run all new wires to the speakers. some people reuse those factory amps and hang them out there in the doors. search in the audio subforum for an old thread of mine with a lots of pictures that show how deep of a speaker you can use. too deep and you hit the window and/or bulge the door panel too much. i put the amp under the drivers seat.

appreciate the input. i'll have to check out some videos soon. yeah when i get some time i'll install some speakers again. i put a new kenwood head unit in yesterday and bought a new schose harness. i didn't know dodge used infinity systems, but about the motor i'll check into it.

do i just pop out the master control from the panel after i take the panel off the door? it looks like it is held in by metal tabs. don't wanna break any tabs. hell even the plastic door screws cost a lot.
