Default Transmission question

My truck seems to hold gears for a while. What could be he cause of that? Fluid hasn't been changed in a while but its very clean and the fluid level is fine. Is there any good additive i could use to help fix this?

Try SMARTBLEND, in the red bottle. You may have a sticky governor.

Are you checking the fluid level in park or neutral? Cold or warm?

do a fluid/filter change. I noticed a great change in my shifting, and found my filter was all gunked up...

I usually do i when its in neutral and warm. Ill try finding some smart blend then if that doesn't work ill change the filter and fluid. That smart blend does mess anything up right?
