Default my ram 1500 making a knocking noise from right wheel when turning

hey guys.....weekend warrior...i have a 98 ram 1500 that makes a hell of a knocking noise from the right wheel when turning the wheels. Would this be the ball joint(s)? only when i turn the wheels to the left. if not the ball joint(s)...any ideas what it could be?

many thanks

It's either going to be the wheelbearing

IF it's a 4x4 then it could possibly be your passengerside axle shaft U joint going bad or gone bad, which is a common issue with us.

it has to be either

u-joint
wheel bearing
ball joint
or even possibly the gearbox may be on its way out...check the PS fluid.

well since it is a 2wd drive and I replaced the bearings a few months ago I think we nailed it to the ball joints.

how hard are these to replace?

Thanks guys!

wheel bearings are easy....get a big breaker bar though...i snapped my 1/2in breaker in half trying to crack the hub nut...then i bought a 3/4in breaker bar, with 2feet of 1in tubing for extra leverage, and both hub nuts popped off with ease...they are torqued to 180 ft/lbs.
