Suspension is different on the 4wd vs the 2wd. They do make lift kits for the 2wd if you are wanting to raise your truck a little. Body lifts are universal and you can get an easy two or three inches by doing that.

One thing I found when I put a 1.5" front coil spacer on my truck (1996 1500 SWB 4x4) was that the rear bumper was now LOWER by about 3/4" than before (I took measurements before and after). Think of it as a lever and fulcrum. When you raise the front of the truck (think of the truck frame as the lever bar), it pivots at the rear axle (fulcrum). The front goes up, the rear goes down. I made a 3/8" thick Zero-rate spring for the back spring pack (bolted it to the spring pack with a new center pin) and it raised the rear bumper up about 1/2" above the starting point, and looked much better.

Don't 2wd just have cv shafts? Can't you just crank the torsion bars?

Arent CV shafts just in the Chevy 4x4 setups and others alike? I dont think a 2wd would have a CV shaft setup. Might still have the torsion setup though.

Your truck looks good with the leveling kit!
I also like the window tint on a white truck

So forgive me if this has been covered... I have an 01 1500 2wd that I want to put 2" spacers and 2" blocks on... if I do that should I put on 4wd shocks?

Thanks for the help
