I hit 4-5k shifts on a daily basis getting on the freeway with hills and whatnot, yeah i know i will pay for this in the near future, but i cannot drive like a blue hair... and as far as honda's i had a 03 accord with a 2.4 liter and 160 hp , pretty fast for a 4 banger and the 6 cyl has 240 hp i think witch is impressive also, not as much weight obvioulsy, but the 4 banger i had was pretty peppy for 160 hp i sold it and got the NOW dodge, lol. oh yeah no fart can NOT included on mine, lol

The fluid is fine, not burnt or dirty, but sometimes takes time to shift out of 3rd to 4th.
For one, you never wanna "lay into" a Dodge with an automatic.

It really feels like a clutch is pushed in and out, alot like a rev limiter in a race car. The rpms start to bounce like the engine is governed. Really hard to explain. Just wondering if anyone else has ever had this issue.
Do a filter and fluid change and adjust the bands. It sounds like the band is letting loose before the shift. If the transmission is working properly it should not hit a rev limiter or governor, unless the band or a clutch pack is letting loose.

Thanks guys. I was kinda suspecting that there may be a rev limiter but really didn't know if there was or not. I did change all the fluids over the weekend and the shifting has improved, I think the rearend still had the factory dope in it though. I only "lay into it" when I'm running late to work! LOL. Thanks.

I lay into mine on a weekly basis. I don't care about breaking the tranny, its an excuse to upgrade!

The stock engine can be pushed to the rev limiter with very little fear of something breaking. Upgrade the valve springs and you could raise that to 5500 rpms.
That stock tranny should be able to hold a stock engine's HP output and then a little more.
