Default Fuel filter/pump

So my truck is going in for inspection/emssions next tuesday. When I came home today my dad said you should get your fuel filter changed. I though wtf. The truck only has 56k on it but it is 10 years old and when the pump kicks on it sounds strong as every. It really didn't make sense to me at all.

Are our fuel filter's in the pump or is there a place some where in the line that they can be serviced?

If I do get a new one put in (I think I'm on crack if I do) What would be a better brand to go with?

How long do these pumps last for?

60k seems pretty early to go changing out a fuel pump to me.

Max, you have been here long enough. The fuel filters on our trucks are not serviceable.

Not so much that. IT was more if we can change them out and when our pumps like to take a dump.
