When changing the plenum plate, is it necessary or wise to change the intake manifold gasket as well?

You have to pull the intake, and the gaskets are NOT reusable, so yes, gotta change those too.

It does not have as many pictures as one of the DIY threads but it should help alot.

Hi guys,

So they changed now the intake gaskets and the plenum (huges), but the pinging is still there (acceleration and under load). I put now in total 1500 $ into the truck, that crazy.... I guys I try my luck at the dodge dealer !!! What else could it be ??? We changed already the cat, o2 sensor, clutch van, thermostat, intake gaskets and plenum , computer check and no results, full tune up spark plugs and so on....

Were the wires routed correctly per the TSB? Many shops will overlook this.
