What is FLAPS?

If the freeze plugs we're bad, then coolant would be leaking when it pressurizes. Plus, I just had my tranny replaced, so they inspected them then, i asked them to.

Don't be fooled on the plugs. They could be bad and allowing air to get sucked in, but not be bad enough to let coolant leak. I'm throwing that out there because it *is* a possibility. Remote, but possible. Also, the heater core could be bad. The heater core in my truck was riddled with holes, yet only occasionally emitted that sickly-sweet smell of hot coolant.

I had a cooling system problem last year about this time. Here is the link to the thread, take a look.

I thought my radiator looked good too, after I replaced it never had a problem. Still have the truck not a problem.
