Brake fluid leak...What the heck is this? HELP???

I wouldnt see why not, you could just get a good look at it, i know it's not fine threaded but other than that you're on your own, you could prob call the dealer on monday and see if they can give you the specs.

A screw is a screw it's nothing special that im aware of. Hell goto the junkyard and pull one off another truck.

I take back everything i said, thats not the screw i was talking about and i dont think that's supposed to have one. I will check mine when i get home tonight and take a pic to compair.

That i believe is supposed to have a seal on the inside.

Oh well, lol we tried...

I wish i knew what i could do and why its leaking. And i wish i knew what it was.

The trucks brakes feel fine. And the truck stops fine.

snagged this from the manual.... doesn't mention that screw on the bottom but it just looks like a bleeder screw type deal....

Thanks, Thats a nice diagram. They left out the only thing that would help me. lol Well, i think we are getting somwhere tho. Any talk of that thing on the bottom in that manual at all? No clues or anything?? Dang i feel like we are so close to figureing this out..


The nut was tight..I guess i could try tightening down with brute force..But i might break somthing. lol And i cant afford a possible free fix to turn into an expensive one. lol

Its a combination valve, Nason if you're home and have time can you go snap a shot of the bottom of yours? im at work right now and my digi cam is at home. This has me wondering now

Ok I just went out and looked at mine, and for what it's worth, that thing on the bottom is the exact same as the one on the top of the block. Both mine have little rubber covers over them.... It looks sorta like a tire valve stem core, but I tried pushin on it with a screwdriver and it don't move....

Once again, thanks.

So yours has a cap over the one on the bottom??? Is it possible that this is the problem? Im very confused as to why its leakin! Man, i sure hope this doesnt turn into one of those 2 week guessing games. With the help of you guys tho, we'll probly have it figured out quick. I hope...
