Help please!!
Before you buy a pump, why don't you check out all if your suspension components... tie rods, track bar, pitman arm... etc and make sure you didn't bend any of them or the fact that they might have taken a crap on you while you were out there in the field.
Anytime a steering component bends or breaks, it will make the steering hard. If your ball joints are on the verge of giving up, they will make your steering hard.
It's too odd that the power steering pump would just "stop" without warning or a loud buzzing noise just before.. Very untypical of a power steering pump issue.
I would be looking at the power steering gearbox or steering shaft from the steering column to the gear box and make sure that nothing is bent or damaged.
A proper diagnosis can go a long way in time and money... just saying

I didnt have time to install the pump with the new job and all so i just bought the pump and had a shop install it it came out to be 150 even the dodge is back in business so i am happy. thanks for the tips guys.
