I was having trouble with my 1998 1500 not shifting into 3rd. I change the Solenoid and governor, replaced the filter and fluid. Now it will shift into 3rd but at a higher rpm than normal. Anything that I may have missed?

 

how many miles?

are you checking the fluid level while running in neutral? Park will NOT give an accurate reading.

 

Thetruck 137,000. I'll try checking the fluid in neutral.
