I have a 96 ram ext cab....I am trying to remove the rear door panel so I can replace the rear speakers....I took the obvious screws out but it still won't come off anyone know how to do this ?

 

Have you taken out the rear seat? As far as i can remember all the screws were visible, but there is a clip at the top of the panel directly over the window, pull down gently and you should see it. Also make sure to loosen the sill plate as the panel tucks under it.

are you referring to an actual rear door? or just the panel inside the rear portion? I know they had no actual doors til 98.... I've taken my panels off, once the screws are all out you just gotta pop the clips out and it should come... dunno about yours though if you don't have the rear doors...

 

yeah just the panel so I can change the speakers and do I have to remove the seat ?

 

Ya, seat has to come out because the side panels wrap around behind it.
