Default pass. axle seal help

ok as you know i replaced everything in the front end a while ago, but i had troubles getting the pass. axle seal in.

well the axle seal popped out while mudding, so i am now re-doing it.

ok now the problem is, is that i borrowed a seal driver from my boss, who has a 96 ram 4x4, so i know its the right tool, and it still wont work??

The axle seals keeps going crooked no matter what i do. ive been trying for 2 hours now, and the same thing happens, it goes crooked when im driving it in,

last time i went through 4 seals, and 6 hours trying to get it in, and the first time i did it, it went crooked a bit, but i said screw it...now im doing it again obviously...

PLEASE HELP...im sick of this ****, i have no idea what to do, and dumb me blocked my maxima in so i cant go anywhere until my truck is back together.

Are you coating the painted edge of the seal with gear oil before you try to drive it in?

yes i lubed the seal race, and the seal itself, all with the same outcome...

but now im screwed i just ruined the seal trying to get it in....now im stuck and have to wait for someone to give me a ride to the parts store...and i really dont have any friends here....so looks like i have to walk a mile to get it.

also it keeps going crooked the same exact way...the side towards the outside of the CAD keeps popping out. it wont go in on that side. and when i try to push that side in first, it wont hardly go in...

**** dodge, im so sick of this damn truck...8 months, 6000 bucks in parts, and still it has problems...im serious, if i dont get the new seal in tonight, im selling my truck, even if i get it in tomorrow...it has to be done tonight or im done with dodge....total of 8 1/2 hours on a pass. axle seal. thats bull****

Did he come over and make it look easy or something?
Also, did you hit the inner side of the axle tube with some 400ish grit sandpaper to make sure it's nice and smooth?

no he recommend that i do a different trick, instead of trying to "slide hammer" it into place, i put a big washer on the outter portion of the tube, and one in the inside with the seal, then tighten them together, and it brings it right into place lol.....

pics comming tonight...got a new camera and figuring how it works...somehow it didnt come with the usb cord to upload the pics to the comp...so ill be getting that today and then pics.

gave her a hug today too, i feel bad for yelling at her last night
