Sway bar ends are toast, replace them or just toss the bar?
Hello,
truck:1999 Ram Sport 4x4
The sway bar end on my passengers side has come disconnected, as the ball is out of the socket. The driver's side is almost as bad.
It bangs while going over a bump, or taking a hard right
Is this something that repair kits will fix? Can i just take the bar all the way off?
I don't do much off roading, but i do work in a stone quarry which requires driving over a very rough dirt road through the woods.
Thanks guys!

Take it off and see how you like it. Some say there isn't much of a difference. If you don't like how it drives afterward, get the energy suspension sway bar bushings and end links. They are made of polyurethane and don't flex as much as the stock bushings, and they last substantially longer to boot.

you can buy new links... I forget the actual term and should come with the swaybar bushings too.
like this kit... I just looked up from napa.
Part # NCP 2651519

And you would need two kits obviously, but this will fix the bushings and ball joints.

Yes but you will need limiting straps if you're doing any kind of offroading or flexing to keep the spring from poping out of socket.
also they'er cheap as hell to fix so either way it doesnt matter, just towing or taking a turn hard will pucker your *** up some cause the body will lean way more
