Well 121miles is 195k kms and thats kinda getting up there in kilometers so thats why I was asking if it was worth modding and putting performance parts on I dont want it to self destruct as its my daily driver.
121,000 miles is not a lot of miles by a long stretch. 500,000 is a lot of miles, 121,000 is not.
when I do the list above would I have to run a cooler temp plug or is stock temp ok?
I run colder NGK ZRF6R-11F plugs and still ping on a stock truck.

its just me, but i wouldn't put a cam in it. pain in the ***, requires custom tuning, fine for racing but generally not worth a **** for lower rpm street driving.

i'd put the 1.6 or 1.7 rockers on it, maybe replace cam with new stock, and be done with that part of it. replace timing chain, plenum, water pump. put on some headers, loud mufflers, and big tires, and enjoy it. i wouldn't replace head gaskets either. if you're not having a major problem, then its waste of money.

Do you know why it still pings?
